Spook Masters
§ “Spook Master” Dan Doble
Dan Doble, otherwise known as the "Spook Master" prides himself in being well known for his low gore high scare factor haunt designs.. His drive is proven by many years in the industry, he has been scaring unsuspecting victims dating back to the mid 90‘s when he started volunteering as an actor at local haunts in the Waukesha area. From there Dan has spent countless hours designing and building hundreds of props and helping to grow the home haunters network in Wisconsin, This passion took Dan to the next level in 2010 where he then created a website that was a user guide for all that is Halloween. In late October he then decided to use his abilities and founded Halloween Room Productions. Currently He is working with the UW system creating similar haunted events and still maintains a full time job as well as Holds the Artistic Director Position here for Wisconsin’s single largest haunted attraction, Haunted High.
§ Aanon “Paint It Black” Frivold.
If being in close quarters makes you uneasy and the things you can’t see creep you out more than those you can, then you are on the same wavelength as Designer Aanon “Paint It Black” Frivold. He subscribes to a Doom-type approach to scene design - believing that textures, wind, light and sound are as important as visuals. Aanon is also an experienced actor, having honed his role-playing skills as the chainsaw-wielding maniac at Marks’ Haunted Hayride. “People want to be scared to be entertained,” he asserts. “I feed off who has the biggest reaction and stay on them a little longer. If they get freaked out, it causes a chain reaction. I use that to intensify the experience.” Rumor has it that someone is sharpening his chainsaw …

§ “Mr. Invisible” Mike Herro
When OPEF was looking for ideas for a big fall fundraising event, it was only natural that OPEF President Mike “Mr. Invisible” Herro would come up with the idea for Haunted High. He’s an old pro, having been a fixture at the Jaycees’ Haunted Barn at Marks’ Farm - both as a designer and as a Ghoul. “I like being scared and I enjoy scary things - I always have. And I know others do, too,” Mike claims. “A haunted school is a unique way to give people that thrill of being scared. It’s not a typical setting for a haunted house, but it’s still familiar because everyone has been to school.” Additionally, Mike moonlights as the driver of the Haunted Bus, and has been known to don full Ghoul garb and motor around Waukesha County.
§ “Black Heart” Bart Gaffney
You know that house the neighbor kids approach with a mixture of excitement and dread when Trick or Treating? The one with Dawn of the Dead zombies, 8-foot spiders and the guy with the chainsaw who pops out from a pile of leaves before you make it to the front door? It belongs to Designer
“Black Heart” Bart Gaffney, who for years has been known around town for his Halloween fright-making. Now he's channeling that genius for Haunted High, drawing inspiration from the past. "I love that old genre of B movies from the 30s, 40s and 50s … Boris Karloff, Bella Lugosi, Lon Chaney, Jr.," says Bart. "Some people grew up and got too cool for Halloween, but I never did. And now Halloween is cool again." . "I live Halloween by two philosophies, "Dare to Scare", and "More Gore"".
§ Rick “Rigor Mortis” Leene
When it comes to Halloween, the block party committee knows that Designer Rick “Rigor Mortis” Leene has fully embraced the holiday. Over the years, he developed a blowout Halloween party that includes a haunted barn, hayride and other elements along a two-mile stretch of road. Now he’s adding his creative touches to the Haunted High Locker Room. “I prefer the subtleties of the haunt. It’s the quiet building up of anticipation that’s suspenseful,” maintains Rick. “Allowing people to let their imaginations run wild, that’s what leads to the scare.” It could be that someone is also gearing up to reprise his role as The Janitor …
§ Jamie “Muscle Girl” Hardt
This is Designer Jamie“Muscle Girl” Hardt "'s second year with the haunt. She joined us last year as an actress as the Demented Gym Teacher and is on the Design Team this year. Jamie has always enjoyed horror and suspense movies--"the gorier the better!" Her most significant haunt was at the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. Jamie is very excited to be working again at Haunted High and is honored to have been ‘promoted’ to co-leader in the basement with Rick. Jamie has definitely cut her teeth and is ready to dig in again. If you see her with her whistle, you better run the other way, the gym teacher is hungry…..Special thanks to her husband, Aaron, and dealing with all the late nights….I love you, baby, I’ll see you in November.
§ Kari “I Can Do It Better” Nicolai
Have you ever been to a horror movie, and at a critical moment, when the rest of the audience was screaming, someone is laughing? That person was probably Designer Kari “I Can Do It Better” Nicolai. She brings that same sensibility to makeup and costuming. Taking the stereotypical haunt characters, she likes to noodle around with them and then add a new twist. “When it comes to Halloween, you need to go all out,” according to Kari. “When else can you go out in public in costume and get away with it? When you’ve got the opportunity, run with it!”

§ Sharon “It Won't Hurt” Rosine
If you are looking for someone to take a bite out of a project and see it through you can count on Sharon "it won't hurt" Rosine. Sharon has been involved in Halloween projects for years, and joined the Haunted High Design Team in 2010, steering, assisting and creating the "scare" behind the scenes. Sharon has been one of the driving forces behind this years new addition to Haunted High 2011,"Stage Fright". "I look forward to the challenges of Haunted High 2011 with excitement and desire for new blood.. I mean for new ideas …"
§ Tamara "The M.O.M." ( Mother of Mayhem) Hauck
When the idea for Haunted High was in its infancy, OPEF needed someone to nuture it and make sure it became a reality and called on Tamara “MOM” Hauck , because as details-oriented as Tamara is, she’s also crazy about chaos. “I have always enjoyed theater, both on stage and behind the scenes. Haunted High takes theater to a spooky, thrilling, interactive level,” she says. “And I marvel at the dedication of the Spook Masters, crew and volunteers. It’s a fun way to build community and raise money, with the ultimate goal of helping our public schools be the best that they can be.” In addition to directing Wisconsin’s largest single haunted attraction, Tamara was also the first Haunted Bus driver and founder of OPEF’s Haunted Ball.

§ Julia “It Only Hurts if You Think About It” Luebke
New to the HH Design team for 2011 is Julia "It Only Hurts if You Think About It" Luebke
While other kids waited all year for Christmas, Julia was that one weird kid who couldn’t wait for Halloween. Joining the Haunted High family in 2009, she drew from her lifelong experience in art and theatre to create several different characters her first year. In 2010 she found her calling as the murderous school nurse. Reprising the role this year, Julia designed an entire portion of the haunt for the nurse’s haunting grounds,.Always equipped to throw out a creepy idea to her fellow Spookmasters, Julia is a firm believer in the classic method of raw, psychological horror. Ironically,Julia intends to pursue a career as a Psyichiatric Charge-Nurse. "Haunted High is my lifeblood (no pun intended)."

He may not be in costume, but he's going to do the best that he can at keeping the unruly mobs waiting to enter the haunt entertained and happy. Looks good in a safety yellow t-shirt.
§ David “Curmudgeon Tech” Debbink
David "Curmudgeon Tech" Debbink, He'll make it work but he might get a little grumpy while doing it. Don't let the grumpy fool you his heart is in the right place. Taking existing and new systems and integrating them to make the "backend" for Haunted High work consumes him. Making sure that our guests have a safe and satisfying haunted experience is his passion. Looks good in a safety yellow t-shirt too.
